He was predeceased by: his parents, Garlan Sulser and Lavinia Sulser (Hartman); his son Ellis D. Sulser; and his siblings, Wayne Sulser and Lavinia Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Betty R. Sulser of Augusta; his son Garlin T. Sulser, Sr. (Linda) of Catlett, VA; his grandchildren, Garlin T. Sulser, Jr. (Lauren) of Gainesville, VA, Samantha L. Sulser (Roy Ellis) of Front Royal, VA and Jason L. Sullivan (Megan) of Warrenton, VA; his great grandchildren, Roy, Andrew and Luke; and his half-brother Dwight Shoemaker (Nettie) of Leesburg, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
