He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Hott and Bertha Hott (Shanholtz); his wife Dorothy Jean Tutwiler Hott; his granddaughter Kaitlyn Dante; and his siblings, Woodrow Hott, Melvin Hott, Eldon Hott, Earl Hott, Grover Hott, Wanda Montgomery, Mary Bucklew, Alta White, Pearl Combs, Leona Hott and Thelma Hott.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Dante of Augusta, Teresa Hofe of Augusta, Marsha Hott of Arlington, VA and Greg Hott of Leesburg, VA; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, Ryan and Sophie.
