With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin Bender (Augusta, West Virginia), born in Romney, West Virginia, who passed away on July 19, 2018 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Albert Bender; and his siblings, Walter, Kermit, Elmer, Oliver, Donald, Jack, Emmett, Chloe, Gladys, Lou, Kathleen, Donice and Avis.
He is survived by: his parent Ina Lewis Bender; his wife Gladys V. Swisher; his children, Catherine Rae Baker (Roger) of Augusta and Steven Jackson Bender (Angie) of Slanesville; his brother Firpo Bender of Georgia; and his grandchildren, Lindsey Taylor (Andrew), Chandler Jackson and Trinity Bender.
