He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Wyrick and Edna Caldwell Wyrick; his brothers, James Wyrick and Darlow Wyrick; and his stepson Joshua Dixon.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Wyrick; his son Michael Ball (Brandy) of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Dawson Ball of Tennessee, Madlyn Ball of Tennessee, Remington Grace Dixon of Virginia and Delmer Wyrick (Vera) of Radford, VA; and his close friend Wilma Ball. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
