He was predeceased by: his son Christopher Parsons; his sister Doris Parsons; and his sisters-in-law, Sherry Nichols, Kathy and Angie Dobbins.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Parsons; his son Shawn Parsons; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Parsons; his grandchildren, Kaylee, Cayden and Isaiah; his brothers, Allen Parsons (Carolyn), Randy Parsons (Mary Ann) and Les Parsons (Lori); and his brothers-in-law, Terry Dobbins (Jeanette), Steve Dobbins, Rodney Dobbins (Deborah), Jeff Dobbins (Cammie) and Mitch Dobbins (Robin). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
