She was predeceased by: her parents, William Franklin and Jessie Varner Simmons; her husband Ellis; her great grandchild Cole Robbins; and her siblings, Marie Miller, Dorothy Langlois, Margaret Jessie Ano, William, Paris, Leroy and Walter Simmons.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Moats (John) of Pennsburg, PA and William D. "Buck" Nottingham (Ingrid) of Ahoskie, NC; her grandchildren, Deneen Robins, Michael Moats and Devona Lassiter; and her great grandchildren, Katie Robbins, Clay Robbins, Mikayla Moats, Austin Lassiter, Kyle Moats and Zack Moats. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
