He was predeceased by: his mother Letha Mae Legg Long; and his grandparents, Woodrow, Queenie Green Long, Albert and Evelyn Glen Legg.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie J. Cordle Long; his father Dayton Pleasant Long; his brother Edward Long (Ellen) of Apple Grove, WV; his sister-in-law Patti Cordle; and his cousins, Haylee Christy (Denyle) and Forrest Christy. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (12848 Winfield Rd, Winfield, WV 25213). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
