He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Acosta Fuentez; and his stepfather Gerald Becker. He is survived by: his mother Sharon Becker (Carlson); his wife Dawn Rose Carlson; his daughter Shawna Carlson; his stepdaughter Jessica Seefeld (Mike); his grandson Xavier Carlson; and his sisters, CeAnne Becker and Denise Fisher.
