He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Stepp and Edna Myrtle Stepp (Staten); and his siblings, Charlene Vance, Juanita Adkins, JoAnn Curry, Richard "Pete" Stepp, Roy Stepp and Leo Stepp.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Stepp (Tomblin); his daughters, Melissa Perry (Clark) of Accoville and Cathy Readinger (Kevin) of Tampa, FL; his brothers, Randall Stepp (Sherry) of Robinette and Sammy Stepp (Jill) of Jasper, AL; and his grandchildren, Cameron James Perry, Nicole Guarisco and Eric Readinger. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
