He was predeceased by: his parents, Mont Asbury and Annie Asbury; and his brothers, Bill, Jimmy and Eugene.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, LaDonna Mason (Ed) and Michael Price (Suzie); his stepgrandchildren, Sean and Katie; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Roselyn.
