He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenous Adkins and Agnes Adkins; and his siblings, Melvin Marshall Adkins, Hartley Adkins, William Adkins, Everett Adkins, David Adkins, Ralph Adkins, Nova Gay Adkins, Ella Mae Straitiff and Mary Cummings.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Adkins; his children, James Adkins (Crystal), Carletta Hollandsworth (Gary) and Brooklyn Adkins; his stepchildren, Jeremy Beckelheimer and Crystal Beckelheimer; his grandchildren, Angel Walden, Mason Adkins, Carissa Adkins, Courtney Epling, Kandas Stowers, Tyler Skeens, Chad Hollandsworth and Elijah Adkins; his great grandchildren, Alex Hodges, Gunner Adkins Gabrielle, Lincoln Epling, Paige Walden, Waylon Skeens and Jobe Wilson; and his sister Genevieve Adkins (Ginny). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
