She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Chandler; her parents, Joseph Messer (Jody) and Stella Messer (Cubby); and her brother Carl. She is survived by: her daughters, Kelly Kinsolving (Athel) and Cathy Childress Busch; her sister-in-law Ruth Vickers (Jack); her nephew Barry Smith (Marsha); her nieces, Renee Ryan, Michelle Ferri and Katrina King; and her friends, Arvata Kinder, Barbara Slone, Maxine Cooper, Betty Curry, Brenda Frazier, Norma Blankenship, Jean Lloyd and Pat Hunter.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Curry Funeral Home (2097 Childress Rd, Alum Creek, WV 25003). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Betty requests no flowers, as she enjoyed them while living. Donations can be made to Alum Creek Independent Missionary Baptist Church, or the Alum Creek Lions Club.
