It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Alva Bowyer of Alderson, West Virginia, who passed away on January 30, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Bowyer and Edna Alice Hall Bowyer; his wife Clara Bowyer; his sons, Roger Lee Terry and Charles Alva Bowyer; and his great grandchild Braxton Byars.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Bowyer (Deborah) of Alderson, WV, Carl Bowyer (Karen) of Alderson, WV, Carolyn Wilson of Alderson, WV and Robin Thompson (Skip) of Organ Cave, WV; and his siblings, Max Bowyer (Ann) of Alderson, WV and Norma Jean Crowe (Scott) of Alderson, WV. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.
