He was predeceased by: his parents, Whorton Taylor and Virginia Elizabeth Berry Fry; his wife Agnes Rose Tincher Fry; his daughter Virginia Rose; and his brother Rufus McCutcheon.
He is survived by: his daughter Lynn Tickle (Ricky) of Christiansburg, VA; his siblings, James Fry (Juanita) of Asbury, WV, Roy McCutcheon of Alderson, WV, Joe McCutcheon (Gloria) of Rixieville, VA, Carrie Rose Rutherford (Warren) of Seneca, SC, Janie Rutherford (Thomas) of Lewisburg, WV and Rebecca Hanna (Kevin) of Alderson; his grandsons, Ricky Tickle Jr. and Steven Burgess; and his friend Emory Martin of Asbury, WV.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
