He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Lee and Celia Helen Cromer Johnson; his sister Norma Jean Johnson Looney; and his brother-in-law Jerry Sears. He is survived by: his sisters, Donna Burns (David) of Alderson and Susie Sears of Pence Springs; his aunt Connie Johnson of Arbovale; his uncle Melvin "Ken" Johnson (Sue) of Harrisonburg; his nephews, Brad Burns of Morgantown, D. J. Burns of Alderson and Brandon Sears; and his cousins, Wendy Walker (Brad) of Charleston and Donald Sheets (Lee Ann) of Lawrenceville.
