He was predeceased by: his parents, Collins Chaffin and Ruth McCurdy (Fitzgerald); his wife Pearl Butcher McCurdy; and his son David Dare McCurdy. He is survived by: his sons, Collins Bryan McCurdy (Doris) of Greenville and Robert Edward Lee McCurdy (Elaine) of Alderson; his grandson Patrick Collins McCurdy (Pam) of Marlinton; his great grandchild Garrett Collins McCurdy of Fairmont; his granddaughter Emma McCurdy of Madison, Wisconsin; and his siblings, Sidney Lee McCurdy (Lora) of Hopewell, VA and Elizabeth Burch of Lexington, VA. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
