He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Benson and Norma Jean Wenger Carter; his siblings, Gary and Candice; and his grandson Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Mark (Michelle), James and Pamela; his brothers, Edward, Dennis (Martha) and Joseph (Tammy); his grandchildren, Mark W. Carter, II, Nathan Carter, Kendell Glover, Christopher Carter, Melissa Bostic, Sierra Falls and Haley Falls; and his great grandchildren, Elana Carter, Adrian Carter, Tommy Carter, Nathan Carter, II, Meridian Hamilton, Makota Hamilton, Nevaeh King, Blake Weikle, Tinley Weikle and Onyx Moore.
