He was predeceased by: his parents, Renzay Burton and Caroline Amelia Wilson Ammermon; his wife Joyce Ammermon; his sister Gloria Andes; and his great grandchild Briahna Morgan.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Connie Powell; his children, Jerry Lee Ammermon Jr. (Mary Lecates), Sherry Shawver (Ronnie) and Deborah Ammermon (Kevin Treadway); his brothers, Larry Ammermon (Barbara) and Ray Ammermon; and his grandchildren, Michael Ammermon, Matthew Ammermon, Ashley Temple and Ryan Treadway (Sophia). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.
