She was predeceased by: her parents, Grandville Dewey and Thelma Agnes Barnhardt Smith; her husband David Edward Brown, Sr.; her siblings, Geneva Griffith, Betty Elam, Mina Crowl and Donald Smith; her grandson Robert H. Sutton; her daughter-in-law Sara Burns Smith Brown; and her pet Sam.
She is survived by: her children, David E. Brown, Jr. (Brenda), Brian C. Brown (Wanda Richmond) of Ronceverte, Diana Carol Blevins of Baltimore, MD, Debora Sanders of Baltimore, MD and Nancy Sutton (Robert) of Airville, PA; and her adoptive daughter Corliss Thomas. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her friend of many years.
