Frances Tuckwiller Simmons Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Tuckwiller Simmons of Alderson, West Virginia, born in Lewisburg, West Virginia, who passed away on March 2, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Tuckwiller and Margaret Moomaw Tuckwiller; her husband Bill Twohig Simmons; her daughter Julia Cline Simmons Shafer; her siblings, John Tuckwiller (JoAnn) and Ruth Tuckwiller Sweet (Bill); and her siblings-in-law, Mary Lou Tuckwiller, Evelyn "Sis" Simmons and Hubert "Mike" Simmons (Virginia).
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Michael Simmons (Pamela) of Phoenix, Margaret Lynn "Margy" Simmons of Alderson and Tom Simmons (Belinda) of Flat Top; her brother Sam Tuckwiller of Lewisburg; her grandchildren, Laura Starr (Connor) of Charlotte, N. C., Brittany Lane (Joshua) of Princeton, Jessica Bulson (Taylor) of Bluefield and Benjamin Simmons of Beckley; and her great grandchildren, Nobalee Lane, Jocelyn Lane, Isla Lane, Nicholas Bulson, Evelyn Bulson and Charlotte Starr. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
