He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Benson and Norma Jean Wenger Carter; his siblings, Candance Cayton, Jerry Wayne and Gary Carter; and his grandson Austin Carter.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Carter of Fort Springs, Bill McGuire of Lewisburg, Devon Hughes of Arkansas and Shelia Cornwell; his brother Joe Carter (Dennis Carter) of Pickaway; his grandchildren, Justin Carter and Emily Carter; and his great grandchildren, Daniel Carter and Kelly Rose Carter.
