She was predeceased by: her parents, Emerson Andrew and Hazel Gertrude Persinger Burns; and her sisters, Marlene Nickle, Elizabeth Bostic, Joan Dunbar and Sylvia Highlander.
She is survived by: her son David Burns (Pamela) of Alderson; and her sisters, Gertrude Tincher of Lewisburg, Shelia Longanacre of Alderson and Betty Sims of Alderson. She is also survived by six grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
