He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Phillips (Hedrick); his children, Joseph Michael Phillips (Lynn) of Charlotte, NC, Sandra Phillips Cook of Lewisburg, Julie Ann Muncy (Jeff) of Eaton, OH and Elizabeth "Libby" Harvey (John) of Alderson; his grandchildren, Lauren Muncy Johnston (Walker) of Friendsville, MD, Jenna Muncy of West Alexandria, OH, Hannah Cook of Charlotte, NC and Matthew Cook of Pensacola, FL; his great grandchild Emma Blake Johnston of Friendsville, MD; and his sister Peggy Ballengee of Alderson. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
