He is survived by: his sons, Robert "Bobby" Messer (Stacey) of Accoville, Kevin Shane Messer (Amber) of Robinette and Todd Messer (Stephanie) of Kistler; his grandchildren, Amy Kiser (Jimmy) of Charleston, Stacy Messer (Chris) of Charleston, Rachel Toler (Corey) of Accoville, Derek Messer (Samantha) of Accoville, Reese Messer (Drew Adkins) of Man, Tate Messer of Man, Erikka Browning (Dillon) of Proctor Bottom, Jake Messer of Kistler and Mika Maynard (Stephen Codispoti) of Logan; his great grandchildren, Mason Phillip, Archer James, Kyser Jace, Shanlee Jayde, Jagger Knox, Amara Grace and Kendi Nicole; his brother Aubrey "Peanut" Messer (Debbie); and his brothers-in-law, David Workman (Ilona) of Mt. Lookout, Jody Farley (Avita), Joby Farley of Oceana and Bill Farley (Peggy) of Kistler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
