He was predeceased by: his wife Mona Pearl Matthews; his parents, George Matthews of Washington and Georgia Robison Matthews; and his brothers, Bob Matthews (Opal Matthews) and Willie Endicott.
He is survived by: his pets, Chase and Queen of Hearts; his children, Ricky Matthews, Jr. (Melissa) of Accoville, Norman Matthews (Renee) of Bim, Amanda Matthews of Accoville, Melissa Damron (Fred) of Accoville and Rickarah Maynard of Accoville; his grandchildren, Karen Wells, Erine, Ricky, Katie, Skylar Matthews, Emma, Cody Copley, Megan, Spencer Damron, Rylee Townsend, April and Charles Matthews; and his brothers, Timmy Wolford, Darrell Mutters, Damone Morgan and Ernie. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
