He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Maynard and Christine Maynard (Vanover); his grandparents, Archie, Etta Vanover (McComas), Wayne and Victoria Maynard (Adkins); his sisters, Rose Ella Fugate and JoAnn Curry; his nephew Kody Faine; his father-in-law Paul Brooks; and his sisters, Imogene Sue Grimmett of Tazewell, TN, Charlene Spaulding (Harrison) and Nina Marcum (Billy) of Chapmanville.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Lynn Maynard (Brooks); his children, Holly Shankool (Anthony) of Charleston and Joe Smoot of Lundale; his grandchildren, Sadie Shankool of Charleston and Maddox Shankool of Charleston; and his yorkie Ginger. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
