With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Benny Anderson Gilco of Accoville, West Virginia, born in Amherstdale, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 12, 2024 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Leo Gilco Sr. and Addilee Gilco; his wife Ella J. Gilco; his son David Aaron Gilco; his brothers, Terry, John and Alvin Gilco; his nieces, Tamara Gilco and Amy Gilco; his nephew Evans; and his brother-in-law Rick Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Rayburn (Samuel Schaufler) of Colonial Heights, VA and Charles "Chuck" Anderson Gilco of Colonial Heights, VA; his siblings, Angeline "Angie" Hopson of Accoville, WV, Thomas "Tom" Leo Gilco Jr. of Accoville and Paul David Gilco of Oceana, WV; his grandchildren, Gage Woodward, Emily Gilco, Casey Rayburn, Austin Rayburn and Blake Milby; his great grandchild Kaiden Rayburn-Carson; and his uncle Kenny Tackett.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Lundale Freewill Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
