He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Evert and Viola Evert (Gajdusek); and his brothers, Ronald and Michael. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Ellen Schaefer; his sons, Robert (Rob) and Joshua (Josh); his siblings, Daniel (Wendy) and Linda Rowe (Bill); and his sisters-in-law, Jean Evert and Debbie Evert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
