He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Titel and Olga Titel (Ostenson); his daughter Janine Keith; his siblings, Mike, Chuck, Carroll, Doug Titel, Grace Solomn, Fran Simon and Murtie Campbell; his great grandchildren, Jeremy and Adian Lemon; and his son-in-law Loyd Lemon.

He is survived by: his former wife Marlene Hornstien; his sons, James Jr. and Mark; his brother-in-law Carl; and his daughter Terri.
