She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Helgeson and Cecelia Leona Helgeson (Hampton); her husband Laverne Bertelson; her siblings, Lorree Hermanson (Reuben), Alden Helgeson and Wilferd Helgeson; her grandson Nels Bertelson; and her niece Janet Diedrich.

She is survived by: her children, Larry Bertelson (Wrene) and Karen Westby (James); her granddaughter Tara Redic; her great grandchildren, Aliyah Redic, Nathan Redic, Darren Redic and Jayden Bertelson; and her sister Margaret Helgeson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
