He was predeceased by: his parents, Miriam Guthrie (VanBuskirk) and Benedict Guthrie of Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin.; his sister Gail Guthrie Valaskakis; and his granddaughter Effie Anaya Guthrie. He is survived by: his wife Kay Guthrie (Kraft); his children, Marcus Guthrie (Lichelle) of Lake Tomahawk, Miriam Martin (Russell) of Jacksonport, Anna Schaberg (Eric) of Shoreview and Edith Nelson (Nathan) of Trenary, Michigan; his grandchildren, Emma, Berit, Bode, Rhea, Elijah, Noley, Katherine, Benjamin, Rowan and Silas; and his nieces and nephews, Paris Valaskakis of Montreal and Ion Valaskakis of Los Angeles, California..
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services - Woodruff (1025 Margaret St, Woodruff, WI 54568). A reception will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Lac.
In lieu of flowers, we think Gregg would prefer you to skip a stone on the lake, dance in a powwow, encourage a veteran, or share John 3:16 with someone.
