She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bertie and Burnett Bertie (Ries); her siblings, Burnett Hojnacki, Ray and Bill; her son Karl; and her husband Paul Joseph Gottwald.
She is survived by: her children, Paul (Jane) of Eau Claire, Mark (Jane) of Duluth, MN, Michael (Jean) of Gordon, Joanne Flood (Bill) of Marathon and Jennifer (David Sherlock) of Mt. Horeb. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to either the Springstead Volunteer Fire Department in Sherman, or the Marshfield Clinic Health System Foundation, designated for the Weston Volunteers.
