He was predeceased by: his mothers, Christian Meffert and Virginia Lewis (Bobo); his stepfather Leon Lewis; his sister Carol; his brother-in-law Robert Kruger; his father-in-law Basil Thomas; his stepfather-in-law Vince VanLue; and his brother-in-law Lyle Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his daughters, Tammy Beranek (Mike) of Mount Horeb, Kimberly Marston (Cory) of Wisconsin Dells, Penny Schlieckau (Randy) of Loganville and Kelli Young (John) of Kendall; his grandchildren, Tierney Ison, Dakota Meffert, Cheyenne Marston, Madeline Selje, Alexis Selje, Drew Selje, Jadyn Young and Justyce Young; his mother-in-law Rosella VanLue; and his siblings-in-law, Allan Thomas (Rose), Joanna Brueggeman (Ron), Linda Thomas, Laura Tralmer, Anita Bua and Neil VanLue (Heather). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
