He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Gross and Meta Gross (Wolf) of Hillsboro; and his siblings, John and Eleanor Svacina (Johnson). He is survived by: his wife Annette J. Backeberg of Wonewoc; his children, Joanne Blum (John) of Hudson, Thomas Gross (Bonnie) of Reedsburg, Mary Weigel (Jeffrey) of Platteville and Dale Gross (Kristine) of Hutchinson, MN; and his sister-in-law Mary Gross. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
