He is survived by: his wife Shirley (Buck); his children, Cindy Paffenroth (Tom), Christy Calkins, Carla Frank (John), Craig Calkins and Nancy Bark (Rick); and his grandchildren, Laura Biehn (Tony), Cassandra Daughtery (Calkins), Caitlin Calkins, Anna Bark, Lisa Frank, Amy Kent (Josh), Ashley Carlson (Adam), Adam Bark (Courtney), Megahn Colburn (Chris) and Matt Paffenroth (Krista). He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
