He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Johnson and Rose Johnson (Escanaba); his wife Eleanor Long; his son Marcus; and his great grandchild Adaysha.
He is survived by: his children, Walter Johnson Jr. of Berkley, CA, Peter Johnson of Rhinelander, Crystal Deschinny (Daniel) of Laona, Candice Johnson (Alan) of Hasting, MN and Andrea Johnson of Wausau; his grandchildren, Jacob, Ophelia, Jamela, Gerald, Jaiden, Alaytra, Skylar and Heyla; and his great grandchild Janryah.
