He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Omernik and Faustina Omernik (Tryba); his granddaughter Nikolina Thompson; and his great grandchild Bennett Scott. He is survived by: his wife Grace Janikowski; his children, Debra Klinke, Jeff Omernik, Lori Mieska and Sandra Cherek; his grandchildren, Dave Thompson, Sarah Thompson, Dana Kuklinski, Leah Scott, Robert Mieska and Jesse Mieska; his great grandchildren, Samuel Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Brittny Resch, Ramsey Kuklinski, Scarlet Walker and Brynlee Scott; his great great grandchild Emma Resch; and his sister Ann King.
