He was predeceased by: his parents, William Pruss and Anna Pruss (Janke); his wife Junette Harder; his children-in-law, Nancy Pruss and Mike Pinney; and his siblings, Earl, Vernon, Doris Krueger, Mildred Utech, Valerie Harder and Lenore Rusch (Cyrus).
He is survived by: his children, Kerry, Ron and Patti; his grandchildren, Mark Pruss, Pam Smekrud (Jon), Michael Pinney (Stacey), Jordan Pinney (Natalie Dillman), Zachary Pruss, Adam (Ryan Smekrud), Ilana (Bailey Pinney) and Isabella (Brody Pinney); and his brothers, Harold Pruss and Dale Pruss (Audrey).
