She was predeceased by: her husband Gary Akkerman; her son Troy Akkerman; her grandchild Cade Tometczak; and her great grandchildren, Calen and Greta Weiler.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Heeg (Jeff), Todd Akkerman (Brenda Rude), Tracy Tometczak (Ed), Brent Akkerman (Korrina Wheeler), Kristin Akkerman and Jill Nelson; her grandchildren, Jessica Neitzel, Cole Heeg (Ryan), Elle Miller (Marc), Gary Akkerman (Amanda), Jake Akkerman (Katie), Rachel Brown (Tyron), Tori Jepsen (Lynn), Tara Weiler (Cory), Drew Tometczak (Kayla), Morgan Szulczewski (Trevin), Hallie Akkerman, Brock Akkerman, Autumn Akkerman, Emily Nelson and Troy Nelson (Katie); and her siblings, Karen Krasselt, Jo Hildebrandt, Jim, Barb Hildebrandt, Mike, Ruthie Hildebrandt, Nancy Hildebrandt, Tom Hildebrandt, Peg and Dave Grimm. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
