She was predeceased by: her parents, James Schroepfer and Barbara Schroepfer (Weber); her son James; and her siblings, Lucille Bredl, Virginia Simek, Beatrice Hasenohrl and James Schroepfer.
She is survived by: her husband George Bartels; her children, George Bartels Jr. (Ramona) of Trempealeau, Linda (Bill) and Ann Solatycki (Chris) of Pittsville; her grandchildren, Emily, Laura, Lindsey Bartels, Jacob, Molly Arttus, Sam and Carly Solatycki; her siblings, Robert "Buzzy" Schroepfer and Doris Haenel of Nekoosa; her sister-in-law Sally Schroepfer of Clintonville; her close friends, Diane and Dick Merk; and her cousin Jean Kluender.
