She was predeceased by: her parent-in-law John; and her siblings, Lloyd "Butch" Essex, Nancy Paulsen and Darlene Sanders. She is survived by: her parents, Lloyd Essex and Mable Essex (Winterland); her husband Todd; her children, Michelle Arendt (Scott), Jason Marcouex and Stacey Lawry (Matt); her grandchildren, Zachary Arendt, Marissa Arendt (Colton Haasl), Lucas Arendt, Trenton Lawry and Alexander Lawry; and her siblings, Tom Essex (Sandy) and Bonnie Dunaway (John). She is also survived by her nephew and his family: Mark (Brenda) Marcouex, Tara Marcouex, Alexis Marcouex, and Kendra Marcouex; she is further survived by many other nieces, nephews, and relatives.
