He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor A. Markworth and Sophia A. Markworth (Bartz); his wife Donna Plowman; his daughters, Cynde Krug and Heather Markworth; his parents-in-law, Donald and Dorothy Plowman; his brother-in-law Michael Foley; and his grandparents-in-law, Allen, Bertha Mackaben, Gustave and Mary Plowman.

He is survived by: his son Rev. Gary Markworth (Paula); his grandsons, Shane (Shannon), Matt (Kendra) and Chad (Charity Carney); his daughter Cheryl Spinler (Duane); his grandchildren, Candace Slattery (Aaron) and Casey Fischer (Frank); his son Greg Markworth (Kris); his grandchildren, Drew (Courtney Holub), Ben (Sydney) and Erin; his son-in-law George Krug (Jean); his grandchildren-in-law, Jen Melville, Renee Wilson (David) and Eric Krug (Emily); his stepchildren, Kristy Cravillion (Doug) and Rich Tessler (Kristen); his great grandchildren, Ellie Ann, Braxton Markworth, Brooke, Sarah, Hannah Markworth, Jacob Markworth, Dexter, Ruth Fischer, Cohen, Clayton Melville, Makenna, Dylan Wilson, Eliana and Brynlee Krug; his siblings-in-law, Ron Plowman (Amy), Doug Plowman (Jane) and Marilyn Foley; his nieces and nephews, Jay Plowman, Brian Plowman (JoAnna), Shawn Foley, Kari Lane (Andrew) and Christine Kuehl (Chad); and his granddaughter Caity. He is also survived by great niece/nephews and many friends.
