He is survived by: his wife Juli Hess; his children, Becky Haupt (Nate) and Matt Fairfield (Candice); his brother Brian Smith (Beth); his grandchildren, Broden, Gracie, Lily and Sarah; his mother-in-law Marge Hess; and his siblings-in-law, Rob Hess (Jodi) and Sheri Johnson (Nancy Smith). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
