Petrita F. (Garcia) Harris Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Petrita F. Harris (Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin,) at age 56. Petrita passed away at her residence under the care of Aspirus Hospice surrounded by her family.
A Celebration of Petrita’s Life will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.
Petrita "Petie" was born May 3, 1963 in Price, Utah to Michael and Rosie (Rodriguez) Garcia. She married Michael Harris on July 17, 1999 in Price, Utah. She lived in Utah for 26 years prior to moving to Wisconsin.
Petrita loved her family and enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to parades and attending concerts at the Marshfield Fair. She also liked to do crafts and play casino games on her cellphone. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and Selena.
Petie was loved and cherished by many people, she is survived by her husband, Michael; children: Michael (Kera) Garcia, David, Felecia and Christina; grandchildren: Akasha, Destiny, Angel, Katie, Junior, and Freya; brothers and sisters: Micheal Grene (Samantha) Garcia, Rosie Garcia, Daniel (Kate) Garcia, Matthew (Bernice) Garcia, Kim Gotfrey, Carry Toone and step-sister Heather Vancil; step-mother, Joan Garcia; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, counsin and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her dog, Sparky.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2020 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home (2201 Chestnut Street, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494).
