He was predeceased by: his wife Anni Christa (Fröbel); his parents, Alfred Flatter and Frieda (Schemel); and his siblings, Elsa, Suse, Ingeburg, Elfriede, Harry, Ruth, Christa, Manfred and Steffen.
He is survived by: his significant other Anita Spillner; his children, Jürgen Flatter, Rosi (Selement) and Heike (Flatter); his grandchildren, Simon O'Day, Seth O'Day, Ayanda O'Day and Josiah O'Day; his sister Monika; his siblings-in-law, Sonja Flatter and Heinz Fröbel (Gabi); and his friends, Thomas, Ilona Fischer, Josephine, Tobias, Hannelore, Bernd Steyer, Istvan'Bisti'Merczel and Day.
