He was predeceased by: his wife Petrita Harris. He is survived by: his parents, Michael Harris and Merle "Jane" Higgins; his children, Michael Garcia (Kera), William Harris (Tanya), Christina Storrs, Martha Lovins and Sharilyn VanBuren (Robert); and his sisters, Dawn Kearl (Rod), Angie Newson (James), Gina and Christina. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
