He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Koopman and Minnie Koopman (Strellner); his daughter Kay Wunrow; his siblings, Stanley and Mardene; and his sons-in-law, Roderick Schmelter and Joseph Lanzi Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Larry Koopman (Cynthia), Vickie and Douglas Koopman; his son-in-law Jeff Wunrow of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; his grandchildren, Matthew Schmelter (Amy), Carter Koopman of Stevens Point, WI and Rachel Koopman of Oklahoma City, OK; his stepgranddaughter Marnae Wilson (Dusty); his stepgreat-grandson Ronald Hertzberg; his daughter Mara; his stepgrandson Jeff Lanzi; his son Joey; and his sister Betty Anderson of Independence, IA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
