Lyon D. Jelinski Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2025, at the age of 80, Lyon D. Jelinski of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lyon D. Jelinski to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benedict Jelinski and Josephine Jelinski (Gyrion); his wife Virginia Newby; and his siblings, Joyce Finnessy, Jerome Jelinski and Rodney Jelinski.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kellie Garski (Mark) and Janel Jelinski (Steven Smith); his grandchildren, Derek Garski, Riley Garski, Evan Dewitt and Averi Dewitt; his great grandchild Lylah Garski; his siblings, Carol Collins (Gary), Deborah Simonson (Dale) and Conrad Jelinski; and his friend John Smihal "Papa John". He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ritchay Funeral Home (1950 12th St S, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lonnie's name to Central Wisconsin Gift of Life Organization, which is an organization Lonnie held near and dear to his heart after being a recipient of a kidney transplant 14 years ago.
