He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Bottensek and Avis Bottensek (Webb); his former wife Flora (Kruschke); his brother Jim; his son Michael; and his grandson Austin.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie (Bates); his sister Shirley of Weston; his children, Thomas (Sharon) of Roseville, Minnesota, Leanne Jeffrey (Doug) of Saratoga, Wisconsin and John (Rose) of Madison; his stepdaughters, Pam Hargrove (Shaw), Lori Bieseker (Shaw) and Susan Crotteau (Tim) of Plover, Wisconsin.; his grandchildren, Mike Hafermann (Janelle), Lynn Sonnabend (Sean), Jackie Forsyth (Kevin), Meagan Maanum (Jeremy), Haley Oelke (Donny), Lance Vest (Amber), Ben Jeffrey (Steph) and Becca Bemke (Tyler); and his great grandchildren, Emily, Joseph, Riley, Sean, Anthony, Drew, Elsa, Parker, Lillian, Keenan, Ruby, Jonah, Augie and Haven.
In lieu of flowers or donations the family asks that you simply reflect and pay it forward to a fellow member of the human race, be it a friend or stranger, through a simple act of kindness, or make amends with one with whom you have fallen out of touch.
