It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona M. Dekarske of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, who passed away on June 17, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Slowinski and Agnes Slowinski (Bikowski); her husband James Dekarske; her daughter Doreen Dekarske; and her siblings, Richard Slowinski, Greg Slowinski, Lorraine Wiernik and Delores Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Daven (Mike) of Wisconsin Rapids, Denise Nicholson (Rick) of Wisconsin Rapids, Doug Dekarske (Linda) of Wisconsin Rapids and Dean Dekarske (Kristin) of Wisconsin Rapids; her grandchildren, Tara Welch (Simon), Tiffany Nicholson (Nate), Trevor Nicholson, Max Daven, Callie Kulinski (Evan), Chelsea Sinnen (Jacob), Jacob Dekarske, Jessica Dekarske and Joshua Dekarske; her great grandchildren, Blake, Brylee Welch, Kashton, Kensley, Kolson, Kaislyn Kurszewski, Willow, Waylynn Kulinski, Chloe and Claire Sinnen; and her siblings, Deloyd Slowinski (Shirley), Robert Slowinski (Lucy), Barbara Rybicki (Joseph) and Elaine Przybelski (Leonard). She is also survived by many extended family and friends.
